Funded by BHHS Legacy Foundation, for students in nursing or a health-related field.

Who can apply

Candidate must be pursuing a degree in nursing or a health-related field
Candidate must meet university or college admissions requirements
Candidate must pursue being a full time student
Candidate shall demonstrate documented financial need as defined by the university or college Office of Financial Aid
Candidate must have a minimum of 3.0 GPA
Candidate must submit a one-page personal narrative
Candidate must submit a 300-word document on what Community Service mean to them and show how they have demonstrated the value of “service” in their lives through everyday life as well as within organizations, clubs, and services in which they have participated
Candidate must prepare and mail an acknowledgement/thank you to the LEO Foundation on behalf of BHHS Legacy Foundation Board of Directors expressing appreciation for the scholarship funding

This generous support has been instrumental in allowing me to complete my bachelor’s degree in biology with an emphasis in pre-medicine. With this academic foundation, I am now enrolled in an MBS master’s program, which serves as a direct pathway to medical school.
